Algerian Qatari Steel Hosts Delegation from the National Agency for Climate Change
As part of its commitment to
environmental transparency and collaboration, Algerian Qatari Steel welcomed a
delegation from the National Agency for Climate Change on a visit linked to the
Fourth National Communication and the Second Transparency Report, in
partnership with the UNDP.

During the visit, the delegation
toured the company’s production units and observed industrial processes,
emission sources, and advanced environmental monitoring systems. AQS showcased
its latest technologies for emission reduction, energy efficiency, and
industrial water treatment.
Experts from the Agency presented
key findings from the national greenhouse gas inventory, explaining measurement
methodologies and trends in the iron and steel sector. The visit provided an
opportunity to highlight AQS’s ongoing efforts to enhance environmental
performance and reduce its carbon footprint.
As one of Algeria’s largest
industrial complexes, Algerian Qatari Steel reaffirms its commitment to
international environmental standards and sustainable development,
strengthening cooperation and knowledge exchange with national and
international partners.
