As part of the launch of Algeria's largest national export operation, comprising 35 export shipments to 19 countries, officially inaugurated by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Mr. Kamel Rezig, on 11 April 2026, Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS) successfully carried out three simultaneous export operations to international markets, reaffirming its strategic role in supporting Algeria's non-hydrocarbon exports.

The first shipment consisted of 28,000 tonnes of steel billets, exported through Djen Djen Port in Jijel Province to the Dominican Republic, marking the 45th export destination reached by the company.

A second shipment of 7,500 tonnes of wire rod coils was dispatched through Skikda Port to Belgium, further strengthening AQS's presence in the European market.

In the third operation, the company exported 21,000 tonnes of steel billets through Annaba Port, destined for Italy.

With these three shipments, Algerian Qatari Steel's total exports since the beginning of 2026 reached 185,000 tonnes, reflecting the company's strong operational performance, its ability to meet growing international demand, and its continued contribution to enhancing the competitiveness and global presence of Algerian-made products.
